Adult Sunday School Classes

Bridge Builders (Room 103) lessons in February will be based on the book of Galatians.  One of the main themes of the Book of Galatians is found in 3:11: “The righteous shall live by faith.”  Not only are we saved by faith (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9), but the life of the believer in Christ- day by day, moment by moment- is lived by and through that faith.  Our lessons will help us understand the concept of faith and freedom.  Another topic we will explore is the role of rules and law in developing our faith.  The longest-formed class at Trinity Heights, Bridge Builders invites you to join them anytime!

Challengers (Room201) will be led by Sparky and Marilyn Colladay for January through March.  The lesson title is “Christian Traditions,” which will cover the various aspects of how we worship.  The class is a mixed group, with the majority retired, but also younger people still in the working world.  The Challengers have a social event each month.  The ladies meet at the Breadbasket the 1st Monday of the month for coffee.  The class welcomes you to become part of their group.

Dream Makers (Room 203) will be continuing a series of stand-alone video messages by Rev. Amy Lippoldt titled “aCross creation.” This video series uses the natural world as an invitation to spiritual reflection.  By pairing earth’s wonders and scripture’s wisdom we can reflect on life, faith and our relationships with God.  Many of the Dream Makers class are in their late 50’s and 60’s, and are still working.  They welcome any age person.

Faith Builders (Room 102) will be studying Adam Hamilton’s “Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity.”  This study looks at the power money has in our lives and shows the importance of using it wisely through the Bible’s wisdom.  Faith Builders is a growing class of 30 and 40 year olds studying relevant topics related to society and the church.  You are welcome to become a part!

Life Group (the Cry Room) will be doing a series of stand-alone video messages by Rev. Amy Lippoldt titled “aCross creation.” This video series uses the natural world as an invitation to spiritual reflection.  By pairing earth’s wonders and scripture’s wisdom we can reflect on life, faith and our relationships with God. This class is a collection of adults with high school/college age children.  Anyone is welcome to visit or join anytime!

Wesley Workers (Room 204) follow an eclectic path of Christian nurture. In January, the class will be finishing their study of James W. Moore’s “Six Amazing Bible Studies.”  In February, they will begin Dr. Adam Hamilton’s six week study “When Christians Get It Wrong.”  This DVD will outline his thoughts and the class will discuss them.  Wesley Workers are primarily retirement age, and enjoy getting together for social events.  Visitors are more than welcome!
